Service

Our team of 5 fulltime software developers, led by our chief architect, work on all our projects according to the following system:

Analysis/Workshop Phase

The analysis/workshop phase serves as a primary survey. Basic functional and technical requirements will be assessed, visualised and prioritised. After consulting with our customers, we will develop and present a functional and technical draught specification.

Aim: strategic development of a basic software concept for the optimal realisation of your economic targets with regards to the users future acceptance.

Conception Phase

In the conception phase, the basis for the project implementation will be established through an exact specification of the projects functional and technical aspects. Milestones and deadlines will be defined in the project management field. As a matter of course, the respective interim results will be regularly co-ordinated with our customers, adapting to potentially changing requirements.

On our customers wish, Smilingbits is able to create a prototype user interface containing all interface elements as early as in the conceptual development stage!

Aim: Creation of an exact project specification and concept examination with the aid of a prototype user interface.

Implementation Phase

The implementation phase incorporates the final project development as well as the creation of the required documentation materials for system introduction and system operations. Quality assurance will be carried out through extensive tests on our internal systems, based upon previously defined test schedules. These schedules have constantly been refined by our experience gained from other projects.

Interim results will be reported to the customer in regular intervals according to the project schedule.
We only consider this phase finished when the requirements of the final concept are being met and when our customer has given his explicit approval to the project

Aim: functional and technical software realisation in accordance with the final project specifications.

Introductory Phase

The introductory phase starts with the installation of all required system components. Subsequently, the application will be initiated into pilot operation mode. Intensive training ensures smooth and secure application handling for the future users.

Aim: knowledge transfer to your employees and productive operation of the software solution.

Operational Phase

During the actual operational phase of the application, we are constantly available for our customers in case of questions. With an increasing operational experience new optimising potentials for the supported processes may begin to emerge. We will gladly work on optimising these new-found requirements on our customers demand.

Aim: Ensuring long-term usability, optimisation of operational processes.

Each project demands a differentiated approach. It is determined by different priorities concerning the three major competing characteristic factors: profitability, quality and timing. In co-operation with the customer, Smilingbits will sort out the optimal priority settings for each project.
